Children's Hospital of Illinois and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center are planning an expansion project that will touch thousands of lives. The new Milestone project will impact the lives of newborn babies, children, adults and seniors. Milestone will create job opportunities, provide state-of-the-art healthcare services, and even update the look of our city. The plan? Build a new, $234 million, 440,000-square-foot addition to the medical center - one of the biggest construction projects ever planned in our area.
The Milestone Project, pending state approval, will allow OSF Saint Francis and Children's Hospital to meet the community's growing healthcare needs. Construction is hoped to begin early in 2007, and completed late in 2009.
