This statewide toll-free hotline allows callers to anonymously report unrestrained children.
This public service is intended to educate drivers on Illinois child restraint laws and to reduce the number of children riding unbuckled in vehicles.
Reported drivers receive a letter and information on Child Passenger Safety.
Callers can leave a message when they see an unrestrained child and provide the following information:
- License plate number
- City
- County
- Date
- Vehicle Description
This is not punitive. Drivers will not receive a ticket.
