The Division of Pediatric Urology at Children's Hospital of Illinois diagnoses, treats and manages children’s urinary and genital problems. The pediatric urologists are surgeons who have developed special skills in working with the physiology of pediatric patients who have genitourinary abnormalities. The division specializes in treating ambiguous genitalia, Prune belly syndrome and other kidney, ureter, bladder or genitalia malformations. They also provide the following services:

  • Evaluation and treatment of dysfunctional voiding disorders, neurogenic bladder, daytime and nocturnal incontinence, besicoureteral reflux and urinary tract infections requiring surgery
  • Surgical procedures for groin conditions present in childhood and adolescence including undescended testes, hydrocele/hernia and varicocele
  • Surgical reconstruction of the urinary tract
