The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital of Illinois provides comprehensive diagnostic and surgical treatment for neurological disorders of children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. The board-certified neurosurgeons are nationally recognized for their expertise in neonatal hydrocephalus, congenital lesions of the central nervous system, Level I Trauma Services and comprehensive brain tumor therapy.

Neurosurgeons are available 24 hours a day to provide care for adult and pediatric patients. To access a neurosurgeon, call the Physician Access Line at: 1 (800) 231-7257 or Associated University Neurosurgeons at (309) 676-0766.

They will connect you with the specified specialist. If the patient requires emergency transportation, assistance will be provided to arrange ground or helicopter transportation. For patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic fractures and dislocations of the spine, or other spinal diseases requiring instrumentation, please call (309) 676-0766. To arrange a transfer of a patient with an acute spine or spinal cord injury, please call 1 (800) 252-5433.
