Our mission is to promote the health and wellbeing of all children with diabetes in the service region of the Children's Hospital of Illinois. We strive to be the healthcare provider of choice and advocates for the special needs of children and teens with diabetes.
The Pediatric Diabetes Resource Center is staffed by Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, and Social Workers. Many of our staff are certified diabetes educators. We specialize in working with kids with diabetes and their families. Our multidisciplinary team approach provides the educational, developmental and emotional support needed to manage diabetes. We work together with our pediatric endocrinologists to develop a diabetes self-management plan to meet your individual needs, lifestyle and preferences.
