The Comprehensive Bleeding Disorders Center provides and facilitates state-of-the-art treatment for children and adults with hemophilia and related bleeding and thrombatic disorders. The staff includes a board-certified physician in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology, nurses, social worker, rural outreach coordinator, reimbursement specialist/patient advocate, physical therapist and dentist.
They provide the following services:
- Assistance with reimbursement issues
- Case management (medical, financial and psychosocial)
- Comprehensive clinic evaluations
- Clotting factor distribution
- Coordination of care with primary care physicians and other specialist referrals, genetic counseling, nutrition education and dental care
- In-service training healthcare provider, day care centers, schools and summer camps
- Orthopaedic and PT evaluations
- Patient and family education, home infusion training
- Rural outreach programs and satellite clinics
- Support groups, summer camp
Two hemophilia nurse coordinators are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Dr. Tarantino also has extensive experience in clinical research, particularly related to pediatric platelet disorders, such as ITP, hemophilia, and thrombotic disorders in adults and children.
