Our Level 3 NICU (*Level 3 is the highest state designation) is statistically one of the best in the country – and no wonder, since it opened its doors in 1942, making it one of the first NICUs in existence in the world. Our NICU was the first ever to transport a premature infant by helicopter, in 1967. With full-time Neonatologists and a state-of-the-art NICU facility, our NICU ranks tops in the care of ill premature and term infants.
