As ambassadors for Children's Hospital, members of the Community Advisory Board lead, act and advocate for the hospital, sharing its role and mission with their respective communities. They also advise the hospital and make important contributions to its fundraising programs. They contribute their time and expertise to advance the Children's Hospital mission through philanthropic initiatives and programs designed to support Children's Hospital of Illinois.

Subcommittees include:

Advocacy – this subcommittee delivers educational programs to parents, patients and the community in health, safety and injury prevention. John Ginder – Chair.

Corporate Development – this committee works to enhance the support of Children’s Hospital through annual corporate gifts. Bob Hoerr – Chair.

Development – this committee devotes all its time and energy to fundraising culminating in the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon the first Sunday in June.  Sue Yoder – Chair.

M.O.S.A.I.C. – this committee serves as ambassadors, hosting two family events and two evening events each year to promote the name of Children’s Hospital in the community. Bob Woolsey – Chair.
